DESCRIPTION
Non-native English speakers who want to concurrently advance their language abilities and media literacy should take this course. Participants in this course will examine how the media have evolved over time.They will investigate the world of advertising, recognize targeted marketing techniques, evaluate sources, spot biases, and look at how media depictions of diversity impact people and societies.
With the help of this course, you will gain a more comprehensive grasp of how the media affects our daily lives as well as the vocabulary and language abilities necessary to evaluate what you read and see. This self-paced course lasts for 12 weeks.
Participants can finish any number of tasks within this 12-week timeframe.
Participants may finish the course at any point over the 12-week timeframe. There are 5 modules in the course. Each module takes between three and five hours to complete.
