MISCONDUCT: UNILORIN Students' Union President, Faaji Suspended!

The Senate, the union's legislative body, has suspended Faji Tobiloba, the president of the University of Ilorin Students' Union.

The Council charged Mr. Faaji with illicit fund-raising and a number of violations that violated the union's charter. The Senate Clerk submits and reads alouds infraction letters from the Office of the Student Council President.

Before the committee had reached a conclusion, Faaji left the room, where his actions had been deemed to be "gross misconduct." During an emergency meeting on campus on Saturday at the Faculty of Engineering LT 2, 41 members of the student senate committee discussed the motion to remove the president.

The committee is also anticipated to decide whether to transmit a resolution from its meeting to the university administration that may mention or explicitly state Mr. Faaji's offenses. The ban is in effect for 60 academic days.
