Bishop Oluwafeyiropo Daniel, a
pastor located in Lagos and the bishop of the I Reign Christian Ministry in
Lekki, has been charged with sexually assaulting members of his flock but has
not complied with the terms of his release.
Justice Ramon Oshodi of the Lagos
State Special Crimes Court, Ikeja, remanded him for one week on Sunday (today).
The pastor was supposed to show up in court on Monday, April 3, to hear the
case, but he did not.
Before the administrative bail was
granted, Police Prosecutor Inumidun Solarin claimed she received word from the
investigating officer ASP Yemi Temenu that Daniel had not been located at a
location specified by the Force Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba. Additionally,
one of the two girls who Daniel raped claimed that some of the evidence she
provided to the police was not included in the records.
The victim claimed that the report
was missing audio recordings, pictures, witness testimony, and the police
petition that the attorneys had submitted.
Daniel keeps denying the
accusations.
