Aliko Dangote, president and chief executive officer of Dangote Industries Limited, has expressed his gratitude for the tremendous assistance the Dangote group and he received in building the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals Plant.
The businessman also thanked President Muhammadu Buhari
and Nigerians for their unwavering support throughout the project's lifecycle
in a post that was shared on Twitter.
In the tweet sighted by AL-LABEEB MEDIA, Dangote
wrote:
"The Dangote Group and I would like to express our
appreciation to Nigerians for all of the help we received from the President,
the Federal Government of Nigeria, and even the President-Elect, who also set
the standard by establishing the Lekki Free Trade Zone as part of his vision."
"Additionally, we want to express our gratitude to
Governors Fashola, Ambode, and Sanwo-Olu in particular because they provided us
with the support we needed."
The industrialist wrote, "We thank all Nigerians
for giving us their support, which is too numerous to mention.
The president will officially open the 650,000 BPD Dangote
Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals, which will produce refined products like
Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), diesel (AGO), aviation jet fuel, and dual-purpose
kerosene (DPK), among others.
Sanjay Gupta, CEO of Dangote Petroleum Refinery and
Petrochemicals, commented on the magnificent plant by saying that
"everything in this plant by way of size is the first." It is the
world's biggest single-train refinery.
He boasted modestly, "Nowhere else is there a
single column that can process 650,000 barrels per day.
According to experts, the Dangote Refinery could help
Nigeria achieve macroeconomic stability and resolve many of the issues
affecting the country's oil sector.
