Application for Admission to the Academic Session of 2023–2024

Applications are currently being accepted for admission to the 2023–2024 academic session at Edo State University Uzairue (EDSU).

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION

 

(I) Candidates who took the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are eligible to apply for admission.

(a) Applicants must visit the Edo State University, Uzairue website at www.edouniversity.edu.ng to complete the online application form.

(a) All applicants must obtain at least five (5) credits in relevant courses, including English language and mathematics, at the GCE O' Level/SSCE, NECO, NABTEB, or their equivalents in no more than two sittings in order to be considered for admission. For Medicine and Surgery (MB;BS), however, all five credits—including English and Mathematics—must be earned in one sitting.

Candidates in (b) above who are awaiting results may also apply in (c).

(d) The Edo State University Uzairue (formerly known as Edo University Iyamho) Screening Exercise will be required of all applicants.

(e) Candidates who took the 2023 UTME but did not select Edo State University Uzairue as their top option may still apply by changing their preferred school to Edo State University in the manner described below:

The 2023 JAMB Direct Entry Form must be purchased and completed by all candidates for Direct Entry. The following are acceptable for direct entry admission to the 200 level at Edo State University Uzairue:

(a) A university degree in a relevant field or a minimum Merit pass in NCE, OND/HND, or Credit.

(a) Candidates who have earned two Advanced Level passes in pertinent disciplines, or its equivalent.

(c) The Cambridge moderated School of Basic Studies at acceptable grade levels, the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB), or the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB).

(d) Candidates must meet the O' level criteria in addition to having a university degree, NCE, ND, HND, IJMB, JUPEB, or two Advanced Level papers as required by each faculty or program.

(e) Any other qualification that the University Senate has approved.

 
(III) CANDIDATES FOR TRANSFER

Candidates who meet the requirements listed below may transfer from other NUC-accredited universities to Edo State University Uzairue.

Purchase and finish the required Edo State University Inter-University Transfer application form online (optional).

(b) Successfully complete the Edo State University Uzairue interview/screening.

(c) Possess the minimal entry standards for enrollment at Edo State University Uzairue.

(b) Present your current University with your JAMB admission letter.

(e) Ensure that the Edo State University Uzairue Admissions Office receives the transcript of their academic records.

(f) Possess a GPA of at least 1.5.

 

ADMISSION CHARGE

Candidates for the Post-UTME/DE and Transfer are required to pay the sums of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000) and Sixty Thousand Naira (N60,000), respectively, for the application fees.

 

EVALUATION OF CANDIDATES

The date and time of the applicants' appearance for the Edo State University, Uzairue. Screening Exercise will be announced later.
