Kaduna State Governor Nasir
El-Rufa'i has stated that he will continue to fire employees and start
demolishing unsound buildings in the State up until the very last minute of his
government.
On Saturday, he gave a speech at a
book launch in Kaduna, where Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike lauded him for
having the bravery to speak truth to power.
The book was published on him and
the Kaduna State government.
El-Rufai promised to keep removing
corrupt officials from his government and demolishing corrupt buildings.
"We will eliminate whatever
negative elements we uncover so that the next governor won't have to deal with
them again. Keep an eye out because we'll continue to fire bad actors and get
rid of terrible things up until the very last minute when we leave office.
The President-elect, Asiwaju Bola
Ahmed Tinubu, referred to Governor El-rufai as a diligent worker in a message
for the occasion.
He said, "Give El-rufai any
task, and he will complete it."
Governor Wike, who spoke as a guest
speaker at the event, claimed that El-Rufai is the most bold and outspoken
Nigerian he has ever encountered.
Only Nasir El-rufai, the governor
of Kaduna State, had the temerity and guts to speak truth to power in the
nation, even to the ruling party to which he belonged, according to the
governor of Rivers State.
