According to AL-LABEEB MEDIA, Jonah Jang, a former governor of Plateau State, has criticized the departing administration led by Governor Simon Lalong. 

He claimed that the departing governor had prevented the state's growth over the previous eight years. On Monday, Clinton Garuba, his spokesperson, issued and signed a statement. "One would not envy the incoming administration for the enormity of work that it has to do in rebuilding the people's trust in the government, its programs, and its policies," Jonah Jang said in lamenting the decline in the state's leadership under Lalong.

"To make up for eight years of inactivity, the government is hurriedly commissioning projects, some of which it even inherited as ongoing projects of the Jang administration, at a time when sections of the state are being attacked by individuals hell-bent on waging genocide against the people. "Perhaps the government realized too late that it had pursued personal political goals at the expense of the state's overall well-being and is hurried to claim that it at least did something when in fact it did almost nothing." "Every Plateau resident is aware that the Jang administration has given roads and infrastructure the attention they deserve since the restoration of democracy in 1999.

"Let them continue to live in delusion if Lalong and those who have failed to counsel him on the necessity of being truthful as a leader believe they built Jos, the capital of the Plateau State, from its foundation. The results of the elections serve as evidence of their effectiveness over the previous eight years. The Plateau people would have made their opinions known at the polls if they had performed better. After failing, the best course of action would be to quietly depart and continue his years-long service of lobbying for federal appointments, leaving the state to suffer from a lack of leadership and governance.

When Caleb Mutfwang becomes governor on May 29, Jang urges him to get started on rebuilding the state right away. He offered his condolences to the grieving communities and hoped that the new administration's inauguration would bring solace to the populace and put the state back on the path of advancement and development.
